Easy Berry Smoothie

Method
Tip – freeze seasonal fruit or herbs in portions or chunks – then add to blended ingredients. Tinned fruit in natural juice works well for these recipes– as a stand-by. Try varying the fruit, herb and spice mixes - for example:
Apple, pear & cinnamon
Pear, prune (minus seeds) & nutmeg
Mango, crushed pineapple & mint with coconut flavoured low fat yoghurt.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of yoghurt (low fat – natural)
- ½ cup of low fat milk
- ¾ cup Frozen Mixed Berries
- ½ Banana
- 2- teaspoons flaxseeds or 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- Small knob ginger – grated or ½ teaspoon of ground ginger
- 3 mint leaves
- 2 teaspoons of honey or ¼ teaspoon Stevia liquid
- Serves 2 people – or One -for a large breakfast in a cup!
