Fresh Salsa Verde

I was so excited to see tomatillos in the markets as we can't buy them easily in Australia. I ended up cooking them all at once when I got back to our house. I have enough salsa verde to feed the whole city now.

Method

Peel the outside off the tomatillos and boil in some salted water with the chilies for about 15 mins and remove with a slotted spoon.
Heat some oil in a pan and cook the onions for a few minutes.
Place everything in a blender for 30 seconds.

Ingredients

  • 1 kilo of tomatillos
  • half bunch of coriander - using all the stalks
  • 3 habanero chilies
  • 1 spanish onion
  • juice of one lime
