Raw Cocoa Balls

Raw Cocoa Balls

These are obsessively delicious!
I haven't eaten chocolate for over 8 months due to health requirements which required removing sugar, gluten and dairy from my diet. I used to LOVE chocolate! These little gems have replaced chocolate for me big time - I dont even think about chocolate anymore! And they're good on so many levels. You will not return to chocolate after you have had these.

Method

Blend everything in a blender until smooth - you may need to add water and cocoa powder until you get a thick, mouse like consistency. Keep blending until smooth.

Place in bowl in the fridge to cool and harden for an hour.

Use a spoon to roll small balls from the mixture.
Roll the balls on the dessicated coconut until covered and put into the fridge til ready to serve.

Serve!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of Date Spread 100% natural, no added sugar (if you can't find date spread, soak dates for a few hours and blend with water til jam-like consistency).
  • 1 tablespoon organic virgin coconut oil
  • 3/4 cup organic cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of Chocolate Coconut Spread by Sprial Foods
  • Dessicated coconut
