Bob Brown's Green smoothie

Method

The key here is to get a balance of flavours. The citrus really helps make everything palatable. Some people may need heavy sweet fruit, pears, mangoes etc.
Just get the blender and put in 2-3 peices of fruit, e.g. apple, banana, lemon (bananas are pretty strong in flavour and need citrus to balance them)
Then add LOADS of greens, think a loosely packed small ice-cream container (very technical).
A blend is better, some have strong flavours - e.g. rocket, mustard greens - a little too full on
Add water, blend on a low setting for a long time - the goal is tto get everything liquified.
Finally - blend on high speed until ther are not "bits" and you have a green liquid.

NOTE: keep trying until you find a way you like it...it is better than medicine, takes 5 minutes, and will do more for your health than a jog

  • GREENS asian greens, spinach, kale, edible weeds
  • water
  • multi speed blender
