EAT LOVE PIZZA

What actually happens in that area near darling harbour? I often wonder if it was the greatest mistake a city could ever make by building yet another concrete cultural wasteland and attempt to rely on people shopping to enhance the area.

The only good thing about that whole strip is the Chinese Gardens which has now been taken over for corporate events and the weddings of the hoi poiloi. The area needs more love, so my ears pricked up when I heard that a new restaurant by the name of EAT LOVE PIZZA is opening under the IMAX.

I’m all for cooking with love, in fact I think it is necessary for good flavour so lets just hope Chef, Milan Vasovic knows what we are talking about. Anything must be better than a place called Ice Cube which they are replacing.

It looks like they are bringing some theatre back into the Italian scene by slicing your cured meats and cheeses at your tables, this can work if done well, I’ve seen it just be very distracting in a Darlinghurst Italian joint that was trying to be posh as the same time. Get your slicer away from my Brunello.

As for EAT LOVE PIZZA I’m giving points already to any menu that is brave enough to have a pork belly pizza on it! Lets not mention the ‘wow’ oven which I have to see.
