Burger with the Lot

Burger with the Lot

Aaron tells us about an old-fashioned burger eaten in Victoria.

1. Name that burger
Burger with the lot

2. Where did you buy it?
At Andrews Hamburgers in Albert Park, Victoria

3. What’s on it?
Everything! This burger is as Aussie as you can get. Egg, bacon, cheese, beets, lettuce, tomoato, tomato sauce and a big arse beef patty.

4. Nice buns?
Yeah, the burger fell apart while I was eating it. So probably could have been something thicker but that's just part of the experience I guess.

5. Would you eat it again?
I'm always looking for an excuse to eat at Andrews Burgers.

6. In terms of quality is it more Neil Perry or Pauline Hanson?
These guys have turned a 'burger with the lot' into an art form. Neil Perry wouldn't be able to replicate this piece of art, it's like a trade that's been handed down generation after generation.

7. If you wrote an 80s love ballad for this burger what would it be called? What would the lyrics to the chorus be?
Something between Hungry like a Wolf and Great Southern Land.

8. Could you eat it while riding a skateboard? Or is it a more messy sit-down affair?
This burger demands your full attention. And it deserves it.

9. How long did it take you?
About 10 mins.

10. Rate it out of five stars
Five. These new gourmet burgers have nothing on the original.
